Check Up

Hi All. It is I, Max.

Just wanted to give you all the lowdown on my appointment with Dr. Guru. (I went on Wednesday.) I am now 24 pounds and 14 ounces and 32 and 1/2 inches tall, with a head circumference of 19 1/2. Dr. Guru said I am looking good and have lots of teeth. "What a cute boy!" quoth the Doctor.

In other news...

My verbal skills are finally beginning to catch up with my writing skills. I am now able to verbalize about 20 words and a few that Mommy and Daddy just don't understand. I wish that they would catch up.

Lots of love to my fans.

The Money Shot

Hi Everyone!

First let me wish everyone a VERY Happy Valentine's Day!!

Mommy and Daddy sent in the picture above to Live with Regis and Kelly's Beautiful Baby Contest. Mommy said that I would probably be disqualified because I blow all the other kids away as far as cuteness and beautifulness. (With the obvious exception of Cailyn who didn't get the chance to send her pic in. There definitely would have been a tie if she did.)

So be sure to watch Regis and Kelly next week to see if my picture will be on TV.

Until next time:
Lots of Love

Fun on the Road

Hi Everyone!

Mommy and I went to Yia Yia and Papou's this past weekend for a visit. Mommy got to go to Auntie Lisa's Baby Shower on Saturday. Auntie Lisa is going to have a baby girl very soon. It was really snowy out that day so I got to stay home and play with Yia Yia and Papou. I had a blast. I got to make a nest with blankets and pillows and play. It was so much fun. Mommy laughed when she got home because I was pretending to use the remotes as telephones and talk to Daddy.

And I really am getting the hang of this walking thing. I think that I am going to like it quite a bit. Pretty soon I think I will try that thing called running.

I will talk to you all again soon. Lots of love.

Callie

Hi all, Max here.

Just wanted to share a newer picture of Callie. She is the best kitten ever.

Callie, the wonder kitten

Mommy says that I have been a little mean to Callie lately. I can't help it that Callie has the softest feet that I just want to squeeze really hard. And as a bonus, she makes this really cool sound that she doesn't usually make when I squeeze her. Mommy says that the sound she makes is because I am hurting her. I told Callie I was sorry, but I guess I shouldn't hurt anymore either. I have to work on that.

I have been working really hard on standing up with out using anything but the floor to help me up. I have managed to do it a couple of times but I think I will have it mastered pretty soon. Walking is still going ok, but why walk when you can crawl?

Walking

Hi all, Max here.

Just wanted to let you all know that I am trying out the walking thing. Though I much prefer crawling as my main mode of transportation, walking is showing its benefits. It is lots of fun to be able to clap and move from point A to point B at the same time, not to mention carrying a beverage with me. All in all, I am practicing to walk and hope that I will improve in the next few days or weeks.

lots of love

Update

Hi, All, Max here,

I just wanted to post to let all my fans know that I am alive and well (actually, I have a bit of a cold right now, but don't worry, Mommy and Daddy took me to the doctor. I am feeling better).

I have been a busy boy since Christmas and New Year's. I will fill you all in soon, but right now, I need some rest. Just know that everything is all right and all of us are doing well here.

Talk to you all soon,

Max

What I Did on Christmas Vacation

Hi all, Max here in a brand new year! Happy 2006!

This year we had a big Christmas Celebration! I don't remember last year's too well; Mommy says I was too young. This year though I got to open some presents. Kinda like for my birthday, except these all came from the guy I met at the mall, Santa Something or other. Mommy told me he was a nice guy! He came through our fireplace and left all sorts of cool stuff under that tree that we chopped down in the forest.

I got a whole bunch of new toys and lots of cool clothes. I am having a great time looking at all the books that I got, too. Mommy has been reading them to me before nap and bed times. They rock!

Callie even got some new twisties things that she likes to play with (and which I secretly covet).

Santa? Here?!

On New Year's Eve we all went to dinner. Grandpa and Grandma and Aunt Mimi, Uncle Sean and Cailyn, and Great Uncle Jim, Great Aunt Debbie and cousin Matt and my Great Grandma, and Uncle Pugga and Auntie Marcia, Mommy, Daddy and I all had some really good grub at this fancy restaurant. Dinner was yummy, but I was starting to feel crummy.

Dressed for Dinner

When we got home from dinner, Mommy and Daddy took my temperature and I had my first fever. Mommy gave me some of this stuff called medicine and held me until I was good and asleep. (I think she and Daddy were worried about me.) I pretended I didn't see them, but they kept coming in to check on me and touch my face while I was sleeping. They are crazy, those two.

In the morning I felt much better and was ready for a fun day of playing with Cailyn at her house. It was so much fun over there until I had a belly ache and made a bit of a mess. But I got to have a bath at Aunt Mimi's! I started to feel a little better after my bath, but I was super tired.

After a bit of a nap and some dinner, we came home and went to bed.

What an end to 2005!

Hope you all had a great holiday!

Lots of love,
Max!

Pomp and Circumstance

Hi, all, Max here,

I have something very exciting to report.

Daddy has graduated from college again. This time he is a master of English. But I thought he was a master of English before, but now he has a degree and a hood to prove it. I am so proud of Daddy.

The ceremony was very exciting; there were many people in a big place called a gym. Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Sean, Aunt Megan, and cousin Cailyn were all there, too.

As you can see below, Mommy and I are very proud of Daddy.

Congratulations, Daddy.

I love you.

On another subject, Christmas is coming, and I can't wait for Santa to come.

Max

O Christmas Tree!

Hi all. Max here.

On Sunday I went on a snowy adventure! Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa, and Great Uncle Jim, Great Aunt Debbie and Emmy, a really cool dog, all went to a snowy place that had animals called horses and lots of trees. I was wrapped up in the warm coat that Nona Nia got me with three other layers. Daddy said a man named Jack Frost was nipping but I was warm, warm, warm.

Daddy strapped me in a thing called a sled and started to pull me along. It was a lot of fun! I can't wait to do it again. We rode a wagon pulled by those horses and went to a field with trees. We walked awhile until Daddy found a tree he liked. He cut it down with a saw and then he also cut down Grandma and Grandpa's and Great Aunt Debbie and Great Uncle Jim's tree, too. Daddy is so strong.

We dragged the trees along while I hung out in my sled and watched everyone work while Emmy played in the snow and visited other doggies. We got on the wagon again that had different horses and went to a barn where everyone but me and Emmy had hot chocolate. Daddy says hot chocolate is only for grown ups.

When I woke up today, the tree Daddy cut down was beside our staircase and had pretty lights on it!!! Daddy says the lights let Santa Claus see when he comes to visit on Christmas Eve. I can't wait!!

I will never forget my first trip to the snowy tree place. I can't wait to go again next year, but I guess I will have to.

Love to all of you and Merry Christmas!!

Seeing Santa

Hi all. Max here.

Today Mommy and I went to the mall. She made me sit on some bearded guy's lap. He was dressed in a red suit with fluffy white trim. He also had on a hat and gloves. I thought he would have been hot with all that stuff on, but I guess not.

There was a lady there and she took my picture sitting on this guy's lap. Mommy said his name is Santa, and I probably don't remember him from last year. He was very nice to me.

Haircut

Hi all. It is Max.

While I was at Yiayia and Papou's, I got a haircut. Mommy and Yiayia laughed alot. I don't know why. I kept trying to wiggle around to take a look, but they kept trying to keep me still. Anyway. Here is a picture of me and my new haircut.

Quick Update

Hi everyone!

Just wanted to let you all know what is going on:

Home Sweet Home

Mommy, Daddy and I moved into our new house! (With lots of help from Family and Friends, Thanks Everyone!!) I have my very own room and so does Callie. Mommy and Daddy are still unpacking, but it is looking pretty good. We love our new house and are just so excited. Mommy said she will post a picture to the blog very soon.

I'm One!

Two days after we moved into our house, I turned one! (On November 21st)

Me and Mommy with my cake

We didn't have a big party for my birthday since we just moved into our house and all. But mommy made me the yummiest thing called cake. I absolutely love it!! I can't get enough. Daddy says I inherited my sweet tooth from Mommy.

Check up

The day after my birthday, I had a check up with Dr. Guru. (I had another appointment with him the Friday before cause I wasn't feeling well. I had an ear infection!) Anyway, Dr. Guru checked me over and said I was doing much better. My ears looked good.

The nurse weighed me (23lbs and 5 ozs and 32 inches long!) Dr. Guru thinks I will be over 6 feet tall when I grow up! That is taller than my Uncle John!

I have to admit I was a bit of a grump during my appointment. I was so tired! It was all because Mommy took me to see the firemen so they can fix my car seat. Those guys are pretty cool. I like their truck.

Thanksgiving

Then on Thursday we went to Yia Yia and Papou's for Thanksgiving. Turkey is yummy. So was the peas and sweet potato. Then we had turkey potpie for leftovers. Yumm-o.

I hope that everyone had a great holiday. I will post again very soon.

Lots of love!

Just a Quick Note...

Hi, all,

I have been extremely bust lately with all kind of things. We just recently got our DSL connection back, so I will be making a longer entry soon. But now, I have to go get a bath.

Bye for now,

Max

Trick or Treat

Hi Everyone!

Yesterday was my first ever Happy Halloween. It is a holiday in which kids get dressed up in costumes and come to my house and ask for candy. It was pretty cool; some of the kids were funny, others scary. Mommy turned me into a Punk Rocker. She put some gunk in my hair so that it stood up high. She called it a Mohawk.

Mohawk Boy

I also had a Ramones t-shirt. I don't know who they are but they look like some really cool bears.

(Click Picture to Enlarge)

While Mommy waited for the kids at our house, Daddy and I went to trick or treat at Grandma and Grandpa's. There were lots of kids at their house! It was a pretty fun night.

Next year Mommy said I get to choose what I want to be. And I can go to a lot more houses. It will be loads of fun!

Hope you all had a great and spooky Halloween!

Anniversary

Hi All, Max here.

Yesterday was Mommy and Daddy's third wedding anniversary! Daddy brought Mommy some flowers. Mommy showed them to me, but they freaked me out, just like grass does. I wanted those things as far away as possible!

Mommy and Daddy have been putting all our stuff in boxes. I keep trying to take everything out, but for some reason they don't like that very much. It has something to do with our new house. I am beginning to think that something might be up. Am I gonna have to leave my room? I know that we have been looking for a new room for me, but I thought I would just have two. I think that maybe I won't.

I am getting a couple new teeth too. Two more on the bottom for a total of 7.5. Mommy said she is having trouble seeing if another one is coming in on top too.

I am standing for longer periods of time too. Mommy says that I should try walking, but it is so easy just to crawl where I need to go.

Cousin Cailyn is walking really well now. She is so cool! Yia Yia said that Cailyn was crawling just like my mommy did when she was little. Yia Yia thought that Cailyn would be walking quick because of that. I guess Yia Yia knows her stuff!

That is all for tonight.

love you all.

Congratulations!

Hi, all,

Mommy and Daddy thought it would be nice if I would post a congratulations to my Auntie Felicia for scoring a 164 (the highest score is 180) on her LSAT. I guess that is some kind of test for college. I can't wait to see you again Auntie Felicia. Have fun with your LSAT score. I miss you.

Love,

Max
