What I Did on Christmas Vacation

Hi all, Max here in a brand new year! Happy 2006!

This year we had a big Christmas Celebration! I don't remember last year's too well; Mommy says I was too young. This year though I got to open some presents. Kinda like for my birthday, except these all came from the guy I met at the mall, Santa Something or other. Mommy told me he was a nice guy! He came through our fireplace and left all sorts of cool stuff under that tree that we chopped down in the forest.

I got a whole bunch of new toys and lots of cool clothes. I am having a great time looking at all the books that I got, too. Mommy has been reading them to me before nap and bed times. They rock!

Callie even got some new twisties things that she likes to play with (and which I secretly covet).

Santa? Here?!

On New Year's Eve we all went to dinner. Grandpa and Grandma and Aunt Mimi, Uncle Sean and Cailyn, and Great Uncle Jim, Great Aunt Debbie and cousin Matt and my Great Grandma, and Uncle Pugga and Auntie Marcia, Mommy, Daddy and I all had some really good grub at this fancy restaurant. Dinner was yummy, but I was starting to feel crummy.

Dressed for Dinner

When we got home from dinner, Mommy and Daddy took my temperature and I had my first fever. Mommy gave me some of this stuff called medicine and held me until I was good and asleep. (I think she and Daddy were worried about me.) I pretended I didn't see them, but they kept coming in to check on me and touch my face while I was sleeping. They are crazy, those two.

In the morning I felt much better and was ready for a fun day of playing with Cailyn at her house. It was so much fun over there until I had a belly ache and made a bit of a mess. But I got to have a bath at Aunt Mimi's! I started to feel a little better after my bath, but I was super tired.

After a bit of a nap and some dinner, we came home and went to bed.

What an end to 2005!

Hope you all had a great holiday!

Lots of love,
Max!

Hello Max!

I am so glad that you enjoyed your New Year! What a wonderful time you must have had! New Year's are great fun.

I am sorry, however, you had your first fever, but I know that mommy and daddy took good care of you to ensure you were comfortable through it all.

We miss you soooo much! And can't wait to see you soon. Love you bunches and bunches and bunches!
